Northumberland for Lovers by Two Wedding Videographers
A huge party under the rugged Northumbrian sky – Tash & Jamie
Wedding videographers in Northumberland.
So, Sarah loves weddings, Paul loves videography. Another thing we both love is getting away from home. As much as we adore our crazy kiddos, getting away to film a wedding in an epic location is better than a holiday for us!
So when we heard from bride-to-be Tash, who was looking for wedding videography for her completely bespoke, dream marquee wedding on her family’s farm, we knew we had to be involved.
Now it was a first time for the two of us travelling to Northumberland; and our first time filming a wedding there and whilst the weather seemed a tad ominous as we zipped along seemingly never-ending, perfectly straight roman roads; it was nothing short of impressive.
Even drizzle here is epic, filtering the light in just that special sort of way that makes the sky seem bigger and the grass shine greener. It’s easy to love a blue sky, but the grey ones over Northumberland add that kind of rugged romance you read about in Jane Austen novels. Swoon-worthy sky.
But on to our couple and their beautiful day. Tash and Jamie are clearly very well loved, so many of their guests travelled far and wide to share their amazing wedding with them and revel in the celebrations; bringing all the glamour of London with them of course!
The tiny medieval chapel of St Michaels and All Angels was absolutely crammed with smiling faces as the pair said their I do’s; and Tash looked absolutely radiant as she married Jamie.
The little church has only held a handful of weddings since the register began, which makes the significance of this sacred place even more special for Jamie and indeed for Tash, who grew up here on the farm passed down through her family for generations.
How special to think of all the memories; all the first moments within those walls, not just for Tash but her parents and family members too.
The unpredictable British weather made this a bit of a wet wedding, but certainly no less beautiful and if anything brought people even closer together. Despite the rain we still managed a really long confetti walk, which guests always really enjoy and also look great on film!
When we film a wedding the details help tell the story of the wedding day itself, but the people and the emotions tell the real story. The hugs and kisses, the laughter, the happy tears. All of those pieces of love are what we aim to show in the film, and the wedding of these two sweet and caring people had moments like those in abundance.
Once the formalities were over the real partying could begin! And what an amazing night it was too. The couple partied till the early hours with the amazing music provided by The Storm band and of course we couldn’t help but have a boogie ourselves! When we left at midnight the dancing was still going strong. Such a great happy atmosphere to mark the marriage of this lovely pair.
Have to note the high calibre of dance moves amongst Jamie, Tash and their guests- when you get a groom who’s not afraid to dip his bride during their first dance you know you’re onto something special for the wedding film!
We had the greatest day with Tash and Jamie, and are so humbled to have had a part to play in keeping their memories alive forever.
Seeing two people promise each other a lifetime together is completely amazing and honestly never gets old!
To Jamie and Tash. To love ever after.
We hope you enjoy the film,
S & P xx
