Today is they day Olivia and Luke finally say “I do” to each other and start their life as a married couple. It was their dream to marry on the island on which their love bloomed but after 2 years of trying and postponing they unfortunately had to cancel and plan for an English ceremony. As a Cambridge Wedding Videographer we were honoured to be asked to capture their day for them.On the night they met in Ibiza, Luke said he was going to marry Olivia. And now here they are, 9 years later (4 of them engaged) on the morning of their long awaited day.

The bridal prep at the hotel was a really special morning to film. Olivia having considered every detail of her day, had thoughtful gifts for each of her bridal party, personal mementos to remember the special day ahead. Her mother also lovingly shared an emotional and touching speech she had prepared for her daughter. There was laughter, smiles and of course, a few tears.

A Wedding Film to cherish....

Olivia looked absolutely beautiful. Her fish-tail white dress had an open back with button detailing with a v-neck scoop neck line. Lace embroidery matching the dress on her chapel veil that she wore in her up-do hair. Her jewellery was an eclectic and gorgeous silver and gold mix of a single pearl on a gold necklace and pearl tipped pins in her hair. A silver bracelet with gold accents on one wrist and a diamond bracelet on the other.  Her round bouquet was full of off-white roses with just a hint of dusky pink. The church and venue were adorned with white florals (delphiniums, roses, snapdragons) and verdant garlands.

The bridesmaids wore satin soft blue cowl neck dresses, which complemented the groom perfectly in  soft pastel blue jackets. With top buttons undone and a buttonhole filled with florals they looked every part the smart casual gents. 3 of their sons matching in adorable white shirts and braces finishing off the family look.

In the depths of Epping Forest, nestled between the trees, a beautiful Victorian church rests where the guests would gather to witness the nuptials. Their ceremony was without extravagant pomp and frills - instead it was classic and sophisticated - focused on the love they shared and the promises they were making to each other. The bride entered gracefully to the sound of a choir and a pianist. The sunlight streaming in through the stained glass windows. Family members shared readings and even their dog could barely contain his excitement!

They left the church under an archway of white florals and their guests cheered and threw confetti as they made their way to the wedding car. Next it was off to the reception, to be held at The Lodge. A handsome and quirky boutique hotel just outside Cambridge. It was time for drinks and mingling in the sun, to the sounds of a DJ set (of course!).

As evening fell on this warm, summer evening, tealights filled the marquee - casting a gentle flickering glow on the wedding party and florals on the tables creating a softly magical atmosphere. A meal was shared and speeches given to the testament of the love that they were here to celebrate. It goes without saying that their first dance and evening entertainment rivalled the any club on Ibiza with a fire thrower and dancing until the sun came up…
