The Courtyard Venue Wedding, Oswestry
The Courtyard Venue near Oswestry in Shropshire - was the venue of choice for Katie and Aden. It was new venue for us but it definitely did not disappoint. As a Shropshire wedding videographer, we are familiar with a number of venues in the county but this was something totally different. On arrival we immediately understood how Katie & Aden had fallen head over heels in love with this venue. A stunning slice of Tuscany, nestled in the rolling Shropshire Hills.
It was a spring wedding, on a beautiful day in early May. The sun was shining all day - the perfect weather conditions for their celebrations but also for our filming too! Naturally, weddings are filled with love and high emotions all round but it was clear - even from the morning of the wedding when they exchanged cards - that this pair’s love for each other is unconditional and runs very deep. Katie’s card to Aden read…
“I’ll see you at the end of the aisle, with a smile on my face and love in my eyes”
Well, let’s just say, we don’t think Aden was the only one who cried tears of happiness that day. In fact you can see many a tearful smile in their final wedding film below. Their Shropshire wedding day was a true coming together of families. Undeniably, a real celebration of the love for this wonderful couple, and of course their gorgeous baby boy, Beau.

We don’t think they could have chosen a more well-suited venue to host their wedding than The Courtyard Venue. It’s minimal and rustic but also an incredibly romantic place for any modern wedding couple. The textured walls and bare oak beams adorning the event spaces offer a light airiness, reminiscent of an authentic rural Tuscan wedding setting. Yet the gardens and surrounding countryside are resoundingly British, a fine example of the English country garden.
Katie’s décor complemented the venue perfectly. From the elegant tapered candles in ambient shades of grey, to the simple modern stationery, the rustic tableware, and the single stems of cream blossoms and dried flowers. The whole vibe was cool, effortless and achingly chic. Possibly one of the most beautiful wedding receptions we’ve had the pleasure of shooting.

Their wedding guests were a LOT of fun, stylishly dressed and it was evident they loved a good party! The day almost had a laid back Ibiza vibe with an afternoon DJ set in the courtyard, drinks flowing nicely and delicious seafood canapés. But when the wedding party welcomed the newlyweds into the wedding breakfast with a raucous reception and napkins waving around their heads, well, we very easily could have been at an Italian villa wedding… the atmosphere was electric!
Additionally, we had the pleasure of shooting alongside Abbie & Lee from Abbie Sizer Photograph, which was a really great. So much so that we ended up staying later than usual at the wedding and having a beer with them - this party was just too good to miss!
And Finally, we would be honoured to film your special day, if you need to book a wedding videographer in Shropshire - please don't hesitate in contacting us for a chat.
