A Hindu-Catholic Fusion Wedding in West Kirby – 2 ceremony wedding day

Connections is the word that comes to mind when we reflect on Jo and Anit’s wonderful wedding day. Connections between hearts; connections to places and to people; connections to memories that make life rich. Despite any of our differences, connecting with one another is at the soul of what we seek in life.

This wedding day brought together two very different religions into one couple, Hindu Anit and Catholic Jo, and the beauty of the day was witnessing how willingly they took on each others traditions and made them their own.

Two families, very different in some ways, but incredibly similar in the way they love their nearest and dearest. Both Anit’s parents were bursting with pride and Jo’s Dad to. It was beautiful to see all the love in the room for this lovely couple. Anit and Jo met down in London, where they live and work. Anit’s family all made the journey from down south to West Kirby where Jo grew up in the glorious Wirral countryside.

Jo very sadly unexpectedly lost her Mum early in 2020 and it goes without saying that she was incredibly missed by all there that day, but we can feel her presence in the setting at Jo’s childhood home, all the memories those walls hold, and by how lovingly she is talked about and thought of throughout the day.

Jo got ready in her childhood bedroom, which I loved! Seeing all her precious teddies and niknaks surrounding her was really sweet as she dressed in her red bridal Lehenga Saree before heading to the garden where the mandap was situated under a tipi.

Now, the great british weather was not on our side! With covid restrictions meaning the wedding must go ahead outdoors, their 30 guests huddled together in the tipi as the rain poured and the wind blew! Now, rain is never ideal on your wedding day, but it does mean good luck and it also means that all your guests keep together and create that wonderful cosy feeling inside.

After the Hindu ceremonies were over there was another quick outfit change into the gorgeous white wedding gown Jo had chosen for their Catholic wedding ceremony, the 2nd ceremony of the day! There is definitely no questioning over whether or not these two were married! So nice they did it twice!

Afterwards, Jo, Anit and their guests gathered back inside the tipi for speeches, incredible food, toasts and of course dancing! Lots of dancing!

Live entertainment in the form of a pianist kept everyone crooning and dancing until Anit whisked Jo away under the sparkler procession for a night in the Chester Grosvenor Hotel.

Jo and Anit, you two deserve every happiness thats undoubtedly coming your way! Thank you so much for having me at your wedding, it was so wonderful to create these memories for you both.

We really hope you enjoyed watching this very special wedding film, its truly so heartfelt and absolutley jam packed with so much LOVE! One of our favourites.
